![]() John Dinkel had the Best Losing Package in Round 2 of Eliminations to win the Honda EU200i generator (a $1,149.95 value!) courtesy of Bill Bagley and Bagley Tractor & Equipment of Longview, TX (www.bagleytractor.com, 903-753-8262) ![]() Craig Marshall won the Best Losing Package in the first round of Stock, collecting $100 from Russell Performance. The Geezer Award was hotly contested. Dick Butler of Grandpa's Garage and Terry Bell pooled $200 to award to the OLDEST Class Winner. It ain't enough to just be old.. you gotta win Class, too! The very first Class winner on Friday was Marty Buth, who set the bump spot, but wasn't even really in the show at 66. The number slowly climbed... Gene Jordan is still a pup at 69. I can't even remember who it was now, but someone was 71 and said, "Don't even write it down... Gary Russell is two cars behind me and he's got me by 4 months!" Bob Shaw was looking good at 73, but ultimately, Bob Dennis laid claim to the prize at 74. We had a serious bunch of "experienced" racers who still know how to get it done, and you can tell they're having fun doing it! ![]() Dan Jacobs (right) stopped by to thank Ron Matcham, owner of the new Dragway 42, for posting $250 for the #1 Qualifying spot in Super Stock. Jacobs topped the charts with an otherworldly -1.703 under 9.347 from his GT/G '05 Cavalier! Extra points on the cool-o-meter for doing it with a Stick!
