I believe is time for this post to be locked or deleted.

A racer asks a question looking for some help and like many posts, it goes down the toilet.

Interesting that the make of car you guys bitch about, is a make that hardly has many cars competing when compared to other makes. Many of these discussions mirror discussions that take place in YellowBullet.

It is shame that a few in this forum use their posts for their own personal issuez with other racers, vendettas and jealousy.

Many need to grow up and use this site for positive discussions. We already have enough issues with NHRA that need to be addressed that don't get discussed and they need to be brought up.

I am just awaiting for someone to ask Michael Beard about how much money he pocketed for the race they same way they did with Alex Denysenko when he ran the first race.

I for one truly hope he made boat loads of cash on this event (but in reality that likely isn't the case). Enough so much that hosting more of such events in the future will be a deal maker not a deal breaker for all involved. The time, effort, planning and risks are bigger than most would care to embrace. I hope Michael and crew are pleased with the results. Congratulations on a job well done.

X's a thousand (1000) or more. I hope Michael made a bundle. Its a big risk to take. The way things are going I would expect that races like Beard's just might be your only venue in the future. Better than NHRA anyway with out the fuel cars taking up track time.

I'm not sure how this ended up in this thread, but since the question was asked.... We did not lose money, but was it worth a year and a half's worth of work? Financially, no. We have still not determined if another one is in the cards. Our hearts say yes, but let's just say that Anthony and I are "pick-up and open trailer guys" -- not independently wealthy by any stretch of the imagination. A small swing in the car count could've been disastrous.

This event SHOULD be a no-brainer, and it deserves to exist. However, there were a large number of people who lived relatively close that did not attend for whatever reason, including many who told us that they were coming, plus we had a shocking, staggeringly low turnout from Division 1.

We are leaning toward doing it again, but due to the lack of support from some areas, if we do, we'll have to make some changes to make it a viable event.

To all those who participated -- racers, fans, and sponsors: your wide smiles, great enthusiasm, and massive enjoyment made it worthwhile!

Its really quite entertaining to read all the posts about AMC products--who is an Ahole- the recently completed Class Nationals and everything else in the racing world over a question I had regarding Jeff Lee and his involvement in real estate inquiring for my relative about a winter "snowbird" rental property in Arizona. Don't know how it got so twisted around but really kinda humorous- Good night!!!-- FED 387

I've known Jeff for a very long time. Probably 1980 when he lived around the corner from me. I had my I/SA 340 Cuda then and that's how we became friends. He probably has more passion for the sport as anyone I've ever met. We even built a 440 Dart together. He's kept me in the loop on these AMC parts. I've seen the factory documents and they are not Group 19 ,Ed. They are documents that call these parts out as service parts and apparently you or Billy didn't have access to those documents. You just had access to some old parts books. You also didn't have access to the letter from Chrysler to NHRA that demanded those parts be included as service parts. But you get on here as you've done so often in the past loaded with half the information and try to discredit a friend of mine. I know Jeff followed the rulebook on those parts and NHRA shot him down. It was Chrysler that got the parts approved according to the rulebook. and I know Jeff didn't want Chrysler brought into this crap so he never posted it. But it's time to tell the truth. If Jeff gets upset I'm sorry but I do know he has pretty tough skin. NHRA has never pulled approved parts before. This affected a hand full of AMC cars. But now that opens the barn door and what parts will be next? I don't know much about AMC cars but I've been around the mopars since the 1960's and there are bogus parts there to. Thankfully my days with NHRA are done.
