One of those anonymous throttle-stop racers also doubled-up at Tulsa. Some guy named Tommy Phillips got Wallys in Super Comp and Super Gas.
I've heard both names (Slate and Tommy) and "double-up" in the same sentence once or twice before. Slate doubled in Stock and Super Stock at Tulsa two years ago and Phillips doubled in Super Comp and Super Gas at Belle Rose three years ago. Slate now has 13 divisional Wallys and Phillips has 26 (including a couple in Stock Eliminator). Just something to think about the next time one of them pulls up in the other lane... |
