So long as the small wheelstand transfers enough weight to hook up the maximum amount of power and clutch, and does it both consistently and reliably.

I think there is a big difference in a stick car and an automatic. An automatic likes to dead hook and if a stick car does that it usually pulls the motor down, although I've seen Jason McCormack do some huge wheelies. Our cars run faster when they leave with the wheels up in the air pretty good.
