Sure I woud be "fixing to fix it"! You wouldn't be making fun of my Kentucky up-bringing, would you? LOL
Well we have been waiting around all day for them to put up a ladder and now it is up. They said only 62 cars went down, but they had 65 tech cards turned in. Just saw the ladder and 2 cars have been put on the bottom of the qualifying sheet that never went down the track. Larry just went up to find out what happened. With this being the last points race, a 62 car field is only 6 rounds with the winner only getting 95 and the runner up 84 points. With those 2 added at the end, it makes it a 7 round race with 105 and 94 points. I thought you had to go down the track to get on the sheet. Those last 2 could get a grade point and 10 points for passing tech, but I thought you had to go down the track to get on the qualifying sheet. Anybody know for sure? I will let you know what Larry was told when he gets back. By the way, I have met some really nice folks this weekend. Jimmy and Sandra Parker with Craig Couris's new corvette that will run AA/SA next year. Also saw Mr. Bigg this afternoon. Harold Culpepper and his grandson Wesley came over and ate ribs with us tonight. Talked to Cliff and Jana Riegle this afternoon. Well more later. Well, Larry just came back with the skinny! The reason Ingram and Cobb got put on the bottom of the sheet is because qualifying on Friday was rained out. In that case it is at the Division Directors discretion to put them at the bottom of the sheet.
BTW, does anyone know Ron Cobb from Dearborn, MI? We just looked him up in the National points and he is showing 40 points: 10 points each from 4 divisional races. And now he is going to get 30 more and has never been down the racetrack????? More later. Patsy |

The final qualifying lists for Stock and Super Stock didn't become official until the alky cars were running their second (final) qualifying round. That's why it took so long for them to show up on DRC. If I know there isn't going to be a clean-up round at an event, I'll wait until I get the official final list with an eliminations ladder. I usually don't get involved in the rules and procedures that pertain to what is or is not in play concerning discretionary entry qualifications by the Div Director, but given my experience with rain-shortened divisional events, I don't see anything unusual with what Bill did in either Stock or Super Stock at this event. ...the only unusual thing at this event (for me at least) is, my data feed works right for every class except the .90 classes. I'll be doing those by hand from sheets and run logs for eliminations. A piece of cake considering I had 802 cars at the bracket finals in Vegas last weekend! ![]() |

You are right, it is still a 6 round race with 64. The lady in the trailer had told me they had 65 tech cards. I wonder what happened that the 65th one did not get on the ladder?
A few more notes from yesterday. There is a little shop at the entrance to the track called "The Strawberry Patch". You talk about great ice cream. Strawberry and peach of course, since we are in Georgia. Then you go out and sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch and look over the strawberry field. And the track is surrounded by peach trees. You can drive your golf cart or scooter there and it is wonderful ice cream. People were lined up to get ice cream like they were at the credential trailer at a national event! And then there was Charlie Ford. He came over to use the computer to update his Fantasy Football. Hey Charlie, I still have your password. Now who do I want to pick for next week?? LOL Harold Culpepper came over and had dinner with us last night. This was before we knew we had to run him 1st round this morning. He and Larry were talking about that they are good friends except for about 11 seconds while going down the track. Then we get the ladder and see that we run 1st thing. But that is the great thing about this sport. They will still be friends at the finish line and cheer on the winner the next round. Well it is COLD out there this morning. Probably 40 something. Haven't run the air yet. Super street runs 1st at 9, then stock. More later. Patsy |

Well another 1st round loss, but at least he didn't hit the wall. Had a .015 light, then the car hooked and left, got in something, headed for the tree, then the wall. so he had to get out of it. Oh well, he's safe anyway. There's next year.
1st round results that matter to points: Edmond lost in a double breakout. Cooter and Country Dog are still in. Haaguard is in Mattingly is in Biondo is in Plourd is in Austin Ford got beat. Grubbs is in. Gotta pack up now. Patsy |

Jimmy and Sandra Parker with Craig Couris's new corvette that will run AA/SA next year. This car was not on the list. |

Parker's car was there to get certified only. It did not tech in.
Ingram's car was there, but we never saw Charlie. He was a no-show 1st round. Also Cobb was a no show. Did not find anybody who knew him or had seen him. Patsy |
