Greg,
I don't agree with the rental car concept either, but other than fuel check (which is not done until after the run), why would a lower class FWD rental car not pass tech? AND, if you were ambitious enough to rent a car at home, remove the catalytic converter and add race fuel, and develope a program for a given car, and then always rent that same type car at any given race, you might be a contender, and never own a race car or even a tow vehicle for that matter. I thought you had to have 1/2" bolts holding the battery down, no coolants and aftermarket racing wheels but after looking at the rule book I guess not. My main concern is putting them in the program knowing they cannot run causing the ladder to change. Also could have made it a 65 car field and could cost someone to lose a divisional or national championship.

That's funny Jeremy, I thought you lost the championship because the other guy earned more points than you!

I believe Bob is correct!
If a rental car is so bogus or bull****, try renting one next time. Maybe we should outlaw FORDS? or maybe racers who do not run the entire length of the track under full power??? seems to be a lot LESS whining at the track! |

Dean, We're talking about a car that's not going to see the track and inserting it into the ladder. That is Bull****!

For the past six years I have been involved with off road desert racing. I could not figure out how the top teams would always get a great starting position on the grid. Later on I found out that they would enter buggies and trophy trucks that did not exist, since the entry fee was refunded. They would use th ebest position they got on the lottery. Finally SCORE put and end to this, |

that wasn't the only screwed up call this weekend. Did you know it is apparently legal to go to your trailer for 5 minutes before reporting to the scales after winning a round, WHO KNEW?
