Charlie,
When I got home last night and was reading the newspaper I saw that Bob Hodge died Tuesday. He was 80 years old and a retired machinist. Roland |

Sad news. But those of us that lived those days are all "seniors" by most definitions. Cool thing is we lived what others are studying! |

Nonsense. Sort of. We do know it was the Manhattan Speed Parts Dart at one time based on the atypical quarter panel damage and repair work still visible from inside the trunk. We just don't have the name(s) of the guy(s) that owned it!

Have to agree here. That bodywork is hard evidence.

LO23
Manhattan Speed Shop. In truth, that 1968 Dart was 'not' sponsored by the Speed Shop. There was lettering of the front fender 'Manhattan Speed Shop', but > Al Ripolla of the Bronx stated that it was 'lettered' because they received some parts at a discounted price in 1968. There were a few cars in Manhattan, the Bronx and on the other side of Hudson River in New Jersey that bought parts from Manhattan Speed, and lettered their cars for getting a deal on parts. |
