Anybody have any idea of about much Torque it takes to turn a short block and how much to continue to turn ! It is a SS Hemi, Fresh rings, rod and main bearings ! All sleeved and honed ? No cam etc, just rotating assembly ! I'm just curious !...John

Got a 190 inch 4 cylinder short block with the cam/lifters installed about 5-6 pounds ya put a open end wrench on it and ya can turn it over with your little finger--actually ya ca grab hold off the rear crange flange and can just barely get it to move--FED 387

Dyno, As I said I was curious, as I just got my numbers from Lynn Balek who's building my engine, after it was just about JUNK by another person ! Lynn was the original builder and did a great job ! Lynn told me it took 8# to start the turn, and 5# to keep it going ! I thought that those were some great numbers ! ..Thanks again...John
