510 on my car to go high 10.40s in SS/LA in good air, that would be .95 under now. At that time had a 1.98 glide in the car, don't know how much faster it would be with a three speed. I could be wrong but 550 hp out of 220 hp 283 would not be possible at this time. Also back in the day it took 6 hp to go a tenth faster. But the faster you go the more power you would need to push the brick shape of a shoe box Chevy II down the track. Tom

I don't think Tim or Robin even make 550 and they can run in the .80's.
