match race these cars in a grudge format. take it one step farther and due a national list aka: 60's gasser wars. east verses west, north verses south. the cars and drivers have nick names. I agree, NHRA could still have distanced themselves from this program but let local tracks which are struggling to stay open use this to help put butts in the seats. the only issue I have with these type of races at legit tracks is the those yahoos stand around the starting line so close to the cars that are racing. Funny thing is every group of racing venues seems to bad mouth the other forms of drag racing, something I never understood. Maybe NHRA just need to put their big boy pants on or maybe have Chief or Daddy Dave be grand marshals the Motoplex's Fallnationals in Texas.
