Can't help but remember the first time you ever went to West Palm Beach. It was about 1979 or 80 that you followed me and Diane down there after we had to talk you into going. It may well have been your first "out of town" race.

Thanks Carl. Did I almost run into the back of you all when we were at a stop sign near the track? I think it was 1979 that I finished 9th in the 5-day points footbraking!


And I'll never forget what may be a record of sorts for a track - Orlando had 3 or 4 division champions out of 5 in 1980 - Super Pro (Silver/black Camaro?), Pro (me), Sportsman (Ann Tillman) and not sure about the motorcycle champ. First year NHRA crowned World ET Champions the World Finals in Ontario, CA.
