Even with the weather issues there was a big crowd on Saturday. With a seating capacity of 30,000 I guess there was 10,000 people there. The main grandstands were full. Once the sprinkles were gone the show ran without any issues.
The threat of rain continues through today.   Your wheel stand contest winner Mike Fuller.  Stockers being sent back to the pits

The Milan Dragway Stock SS alumni. From the left Mike Fuller, Russ Abrams, John Dinkel, and your reporter Mike D. We ran the weekly program through the 70s till it ended in the early 80 s. Missing from the photo was Bob Downing whose boys now race.
