Stocker Tech Rules Gas Tank & Battery?

No comment on part 3 so here's mine:
Gas tank shields were used as far back as the 60's..sometimes as a good way to add weight
(C/FX cars, etc.)
I don't see any good reason why you couldn't fab one out of a gutted oem tank, and securely mount it to shield the bottom of the fuel cell and it's fuel lines.
Of course if you ask ,rather than just doing it, I'm sure the answer would be no.
