Yes he did,, Jerry. I believe it was a SS/L or possibly K,, definitely a stick car. It was on the cover of Super Stock & Drag Illustrated magazine many years ago,,, I'm thinking around '79 or '80.

Joey Tolisanos 66' SS/LA in 1984
Looking for this car, purely sentimental reasons.. Any info call or text me 201-852-1400, thanks in advance, John Bolkema It was originally run by Joey Tolisano in 1983-1985, shortly before Joey passed away in August of 1985 he sold the car to Ron Morehead Jr of Newburgh NY who ran the car for a couple years before selling it to Carmine Savino of Campbell Hall NY, Carmine sold the car to Tony Testa from White Plains NY who sold the car in 2000 to someone he doesn't remember. That's as much as I've been able to find out... As of 2000 the car was supposedly still painted the same. Last edited by Oldirty; 09-04-2015 at 01:23 PM. Reason: added info |

Just a comment...
In 1981 I attended my first national NHRA event at Englishtown NJ(spectator). "The Summer Nationals". Despite the magnitude of everything seen that weekend, NOTHING stayed more engrained in my memory than pairs of 66-67 Chevy II's (stick cars) practically standing on their bumpers 1st gear, pulling 2nd and going airborne again, and again in 3rd....great memory! |

Couple pics of my old Nova before and after I worked on straightening out the front end. For some reason the after pic got really small when I downloaded it from the internet some years ago. I'm hoping that Charlie A can work his magic and make it bigger cause I really like that pic. Fixing that front end gave me about the biggest gain in e.t. that I ever had.
