Thank You to all who raced the MCR race at Thunder Valley (Marion SD) sponsored by Curts Cycle Center - Curt Heib, Congrats to Jason Deforrest for the double up win! Also congrats to Sat ru Mike Koppien and Sun ru Rick Wessels. The MCR cookout sponsored by Jamison Equipment - John Jamison and cooked and served by Terry Grosz and Corky McGraw was a huge hit (about 150 went through the line). Last the crew at TVD did a great job from keeping great traction on the starting line through 2 hot & humid days and on a nice time schedule (rained 2 inches sun mourning and still only 1 hour late)

50 Cars great turn out. I wish we in the northwest could do that, very impressive car count, that's about as many cars at our divisional races.

On Saturday, the 4th, we actually had about 8 more. Some left before Sunday and some new ones came.

Jason DeForrest proved to be hotter than both the weather and the Fourth of July fireworks as he scored an impressive double up, winning both the Saturday and Sunday race. Runner up on Saturday was Michael Koppien and the Koppien Family SS/EA '69 Camaro. Sunday's runner up was Rick Wessel's E/S '69 Camaro Z28.
For his efforts, Mr. DeForrest collected a tidy $4,000 ![]() Two inches of rain Sunday morning put the track crew to the test and they rose to the occasion. ![]()
