Alright y'all caught me! I only did it one time at Bristol but it was like 120 degrees there lol. I'm just kidding of course but couldn't it have been an honest mistake?

This is an odd post. If the next round the driver had the fire jacket on, wouldn't that mean that NHRA *didn't* look the other way and told him to put it on?

Maybe he forgot to put it on? Who knows? Who cares?
Anyway, from my point of view, something like that is NHRA's problem, not mine. If sure that there was no performance advantage by not wearing his jacket. |

Do you have a low index race car that you race with NHRA?

I think both rule books, east coast and west coast require you to have all your safety gear on during a run. Also wasn't NHRA founded on safety in the 50's to get racing off the streets. also the rule book is a minimum for safety gear you can always have more then required as in more layer suits. If this is not true than we all should be on street outlaws. Since we don't care about safety rules then what about the rest of the rule book could install illegal parts on your car and move on a qualifying sheet to get on the short side of the ladder and change it back for first round?

The last race car I had was a F/SA built by Woodrow Josey and a few motors built by Elisha Boyd back in Mississippi. Do you have a reason for this question? Last edited by davidhuff; 08-10-2015 at 05:23 PM. |

I always felt bad for ole Gerald, getting into his W truck, in La., right after that pants rule came out.
