Second round of qualifying at a National event, a couple of years ago I forgot to put my fire pants on.....too late to do anything about it when I realized it.. I pulled my jacket down as far as I could to hide the fact. During the run, I gave it up at 1,000 ft so my time would not be better...thus a "wave thru" the scales and fuel check. Whew...I will sleep better tonight getting that off my chest...(and not worrying about a tattle tale) The truth be known, I would not try to guess how frequently drivers forget the neck support, gloves, net, etc. S-it happens.

I bet my friend Woodrow Josey was sure glad he had all his safety equipment on a few years back.
I am sure he would vote YES!
