Just remember Pure Stockers are PURE
Till some joker learns how to manipulate the system, then you'll have P/S cars with 14X32s,blowers etc.

It was consistent, but ran 14.56-14.59 in the heat on a 14.55 index. So I felt it would not be competitive unless it could run at least .15 under index. Then... the weather was perfect at the Class Nationals and we had fantastic air for the event. ( face palm) lol Probably would have run 14.40's at National Trail.

Would have supported another Pure Stock Challenge but IHRA ProAm was at Empire at same time.
Last year had 3 A/PS and 3 D/PS cars competing..plus 5 others racing. Maybe next year. Seems if you put a little skin in the game the Pure Stockers come out to play. As for blowers ..do not think that will happen. Unless maybe a certain turbo 4 Tbird decides to run PS.. Right now keeping a Stock Spring is our saving grace. For all the conversation it keep our cars reliable! Sure would like to up the $$pot and get help from others next year. We got a lot of good press last year! D |

Good Morning Dan
You seem to be the guru with regards to Pure Stock I'm looking into a 2014 Ford V6 Mustang for Pure Stock. The engine is the 3.7 V6 @ 305 HP (Advertised). Curb Weight is 3,501 (Advertised) What classification should it be, H/PS or I/PS? Thanks, Tom |
