Check out Lakewood # 15525, it has a notch cut out to clear the pressure plate, also, McLeod makes an adjustable throw-out bearing that might help.

If you haven't already changed the pivot ball to an adjustable one, that's what I had to do when I had the same issue with the QT bell. The pivot that came with the bellhousing was protruding too far forward.

Thanks, I do have the adjustable pivot and I'm rubbing on the other side. I have it as close as i can get it to clutch without a rub but when I press it I get a rub on the other side. How much travel does it need for the actual fingers to release the clutch? Gonna call this guy with quicktime and see what he says.
Thanks |

I have the shortest TOB in my Bellhousing and the pivot ball is at the shortest length to the point the fork has came off the pivot ball and ruined levers on the clutch. You need 2 things with a clutch, air gap for the clutch to PP and air gap for TOB to lever. It' can be a balancing act, as one effects the other with a pull cable setup. With linkage you can change the ratio easier, with a cable not so much. I do not know what McCleod recommends on the air gap, generally .250" is normal there are some other variables to, do you have counterweight levers? The more CW the more you need to make sure you have adequate air gap on the clutch to PP. Just some random quick thoughts. Sean

Rob Youngblood told me that quick time bells have a thicker flange that trans bolts to, so it moves the pivot ball much closer to the clutch.
