Default Re: Trailer chalk

It might be a little extreme but I bought a used trailer a few years ago that was majorly oxidized plus brown ooze running down from the screw holes in the skins (rust coming from the ms inner frame tubing). I tried a little bit of everything but what worked best was wiping down the whole exterior with lacquer thinner, then scrubbed it down with car wash soap followed by car wax. It worked great and was a fairly quick process. I wouldn't recommend doing this on a regular basis as I assume this was pretty rough on the enamel finish but as a one time thing, it worked well.
