Gus told me that his Corvette went to some big time coal dude on the right coast. That was a long time ago and I might be a little fuzzy on the details. But, it was one bitch'n Vette.

Brinkman's Corvette has been shown earlier (pages 10 and 30).
If you don't mind I'd like to post a few shots of his car from this past season.

The photo near the starting line is from Maple Grove Raceway on May 22, 2015.
The photo at the 400 foot mark is from Cecil County on August 15, 2015.

I purchased this car a couple weeks ago from longtime division 3 track personnel Ron Mack, Ron has owned the car since 1969 and raced it in junior stock in the early 70's, he named the car Shotgun as a reply to his biggest rival in the class, Larry Lombardo. Ron later bracket raced the car & parked it around 1980. Of course the brakes were all stuck, fuel tank had rust in it & the radiator was rotted but the motor sounds great after not running for 35 years. Ron is a first class guy & I hope he can again make a pass in it this summer. I'll try and post updated photo's as I get it completed.........Thanks.........Doug Engels.

Great car and look forward to the future pictures of it, you come up with some great finds, always liked that fawn color car with the big tires on the back.

Doug,

Are you going to make it a stock or SS car? Either way, we know it will be a beauty (and fast).
