http://www.nhra.com/userfiles/file/P...2012-31-15.pdf My question: The form you send in has lines for qualification passes if you need them. If you race a class requiring passes, do they send the form back to you to take to the track? Dale

Since I'm out for another year with another back surgery my son will be driving next year. This will be a new license. The car will run SS/G or H with him. Is it just send the money in or ????. Hope to make 2 or 3 next year with him driving. Thanks.

I looked in my spam folder last night and found a message from NHRA dated the end of November informing me my License and Competition Number is about to expire. Actually it is January 31 expiration. Evidently NHRA is sending emails out about expirations. Sorry for not making sure I was making a true statement as above. A little Red Faced Rick Cates |

Just received a call from Cathy Dyson with NHRA in the license group that informed me they are syncing up all Licenses with Membership dates. I had mailed my renewal in on Jan 1 and my dates were a year apart. She asked me to let her tear up my check and use a credit card to make my lower payment to sync up the dates. That was easier for her than sending me back a partial refund.
She also told me that all new License Cards were 5 weeks out and I would not get my License until after I left for Pomona. I had let her know with a cover letter with my License application that I was entered at Pomona. She asked me to call or email her before I left and she would email me a Temporary License however, it is only good for 30 days. We are going to race Pomona, Tuscon, then both Phoenix races before returning home so I will need 2 Temporary issues to cover our trip west. I hope once everything gets synced up it will go smoother. So much for the claim about reduced license fees in order to increase participation....

An official checklist outlining the license application procedure is available from NHRA at the link below:
http://www.nhra.com/userfiles/file/L...egulations.pdf To answer my own previous question, if your license requires passes, they must be completed and checked off on the application form before sending it in to NHRA. You would need to set this up with the track. kdanner: This was never about lowering cost. A hundred bucks a year is nothing at the track. It was about removing restrictions like medical exams that may have prevented some racers from participating. Dale

I just called NHRA as I am confused. My Competition numbers expire 12/31/16 my membership expires 1/31/17. So she told me to renew for 1 year and its 51 dollars for my first category and 10 for my second. And they will send me a 2 year license. I guess I'm getting a discount. Because its supposed to be 120 a year for the first category and 10 for the second. According to the license application. Either that or as usual they don't have it figured out yet. LOL
And they said I have to do this before the first race I attend this year. So I guess that means everybody has to do it. No matter when your stuff expires. |

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ At your normal renewal for license. At that time we will prorate the membership so the two have the same expiration going forward. Mike Rice NHRA Pacific Division Director |
