We care Ron.., entry's are up because we are all excited about the economy, and Obama finally leaving the Oval Office.

[QUOTE=MR DERBY CITY;493802]And don't forget, diesel fuel is under 2 bucks a gallon ....Yippeeeee,[/QUOT
I think NHRA should consider a flex quota. If they fill up before a certain grade point, like two or three they should consider opening it up. Especially considering the fuel cost is more favorable than it has been in several years. Shrinking the quota does not motivate too many to hit divisionals. Making the Nationals a better deal for sportsman does that. If they were thinking they would open the quotas and make the Nationals so good that more people attend divisionals in order to get in.

Maybe I just don`t understand NHRAs logic, but to me it would make more sense to have the quotas set at a number that would make for a full eliminator field. Instead of having a limit of 60 cars, which would means numerous bye runs, making the quota 64 cars seems much more logical. Also, I thought that NHRA was streamlining their racer licensing procedure to encourage more Sportsman participation, doesn`t having Sportsman quota limits seem to work against that theory?
