I move alot of machined blocks with Total seal rings and so far no issues that I am aware of. I build alot of circle track engines and to date no problems leak down numbers are always good. Again cylinder prep is key to get any ring to seal. What are you using on your cylinders when assembling the engine ? What is the honing procedure that shop is using on you blocks ? |

Just curious for the folks that have had a difficult time with their Total Seal ring packages, what Rpk, Rvk and Ra numbers did you end up with on your hone finishes?

Steel ring is 4.385, bore is 4.375 it takes a little time for the ring to round up. As they say its a Chevy world.
