Why would NHRA do that. Stock is healthy the way it is.

Healthy being described as having lots of cars and combinations?
I believe the discussion was the limited number of heads up runs. The alternative might be fewer classes with more cars per class. Even AHFS might work faster using heads up runs as helpful on soft combinations. Maybe not everyone is pleased with it being a bracket race for expensive class cars.
