Great news Joey. And hey, the "famous sidekick" as your dad refers to him, wanted to make sure I passed along his best heal-up-soon wishes. We'll see you in a couple of weeks!

Thoughts and prayers my friend. Glad to see you survived such a horrific crash and time will help heal. Not much more that I can say but get well soon.

Just a note..... Mike Pearson, D2 SS racer also blew a steer tire on the way to Gainesville last week. He was able to control the rig but this should be a warning to all of us!! Check your tires every time before you go to a race. Tire pressures and tire manufacture dates are important! I'm not saying doing this would have prevented either of these blow outs but why chance your life on it! Jim

So glad you are doing better Jeff!

Great post Jim. Yes I had a steer tire blow on my toter on Thursday evening while heading home to pick up my trailer and head to Gainesville for the points race and gators. After seeing the massive destruction on Jeffs rig I feel very lucky. My tires had plenty of tread but were timed out on age. I will be changing my steer tires at least every 4 years from now on.
Lesson learned. Jeff was very lucky to crawl out of that wreckage alive. Get well soon Jeff
On a side note I keep my speed down. Usually I run 65 mph. Sit back relax and enjoy the ride.

After seeing the pictures, Jeff is a very lucky man. God was definitely riding with him. Miracles happen each day and I think this falls in that category.

Ken....I noticed that "Steer Safe" offers units for RV's....I used to run them on our OTR Fleet and they WORK.

I have gotten home. It's a nice thing to have the great friends. I do appreciate it. I will post more later. Just tired, but alive, and I guess my Guardian Angle was with me and my wife stayed home to work on her new quilting machine. Right seat would not have made it.

I only met Jeff once a couple of years ago at Las Vegas while parked in line.
He is a great guy and really fun to be around.
Get well soon Jeff. You are one lucky guy to have survived that and the man upstairs must have been riding along to make that happen.

I also drive one of these and am curious on what brand of tire it was that blew and how old the tire was. I just bought two new steer tires and am concerned I bought the right ones.

Get well soon.
