Jeff Hairrington lost an engine in his motorhome 60 miles from the track. Michael Brand to the rescue. Michael picked up the family, dog included, trailer and contents of the motorhome and got them here in time for tech. Jeff and family are camping at the track.


Does anyone have a sweet deal on a new 8.1 GM engine for Jeff?

It has stopped raining at the big end of the track. They have been vaccumming for a while. It looks like we might have a little window to get in just a little of racing and then it looks like there could be lots again this afternoon. There have not been any announcements on the radio of any changes yet.


We had a very nice dinner last night hosted by Wendy Tysinger and her Co. Tysinger Productions ( I think). This is Joe and Alice's daughter. Here are a few pics from last night:

Two on the right are Renee and Gary Bingham - Renee will be on the clocks this weekend and the two of them are the heart of Godspeed Ministries - the IHRA and PDRA RFC equivalent. Good people. Gary was IHRA Top Sportsman champion a few times, runs Top Dragster now whenever he can fit it into his schedule, also does tech and pit steward and race director stuff for PDRA.

Well we have an announcement that Stock is out in about 20 minutes!! The sun is starting to peek thru!!

We just ran probably our only qualifying run for today! We were the fastest A/SA car, so we should get the trophy. 55 cars went down. Super stock running now.

Before anyone makes a comment about this being the Stk/SS, please understand this a part of history and I think it worthy for all racers and fans to see. I talked to a few Super Comp drivers about the 4 wide experience. Many were concerned and still are, but some did say with a little smile, it was kind of cool. Personally I thought it was very cool to watch and for the most part it went well.

Super Stock is just finishing up, I don't know what the plan is for the rest of the day. Its cloudy and it could rain anytime.

How about running Class 4 wide maybe that will get some horsepower inline faster. I don't think you could get 4 people to agree to the 1000ft race.
