NHRA owns the track. New Top Elim. Club under construction. Now you know where the higher entry fees this year went. Missing this less and less and less.

Indy 2016 :
On the left is Charlie Downing's 2010 Cobra Jet which I believe is the quickest 3 valve modular in Stock and on the right is the first S197 Mustang GT in NHRA Stock Eliminator, also with a 3 valve modular engine. Since this 2009 Mustang GT runs in I/SA, I believe that also makes it the newest model Ford in NHRA Stock in the "traditional" classes. ( i.e. non-FS ) ![]() ![]()

8:00 update - a fine drizzle has begun to fall. Never mind - it's now bigger drops that I classify as rain. No question now that the car will stay in the trailer.
All that stayed home - you got it right so far and stop smiling. ![]()

Looks like the D3 coverage is up and running with an accurate shot of the wet track. D3TV is a great thing and on days like this you can run back to the Hotel and monitor what's happening at the track. Last year at the Columbus LODRS it was hot - so instead of waiting at the track I went back to the Hotel, got a shower and rested in comfort till it was time for R1.
Here's the link for D3TV Saturday coverage. ![]()

I've left the track for the comfort of my Hotel room and some Netflix binge watching.
I've had a number of people ask how to post from the track. With a smart phone and a web connection it's easy. My Sprint phone service works well at just about any track except Norwalk. I upload the photos from my phone to a Photo Bucket App account ( also easy) and paste the link in with the text. The biggest challenge is working in the small area of the phone display and the miniature size text. ![]()
