Bandimere Speedway handles all payout through the mail with checks and it`s usually in your mailbox by the end of the week.
As long as we`re talking checks in the mail, I was amazed after the LODRS race in Vegas last month was postponed, if you were not returning they offered you a refund. Stipulation, if you took the refund you couldn`t re enter in November. The check was in my mailbox in about a week and a half. Never been offered an entry fee refund.

In d3 at Joliet divisional they hand you a w-9 form at the time ticket booth and tell you to fill it out and take to the payout room to get paid. When you bring it up wait in line and hand it to the people up in the payout office they enter it into the computer and with a smile say your check will be mailed. The last few years since they started doing this it has taken a solid 5-6 weeks to get paid, which I think is BS.
Again setting the standard is Norwalk, payout room always ready with no line and stack of cash money waiting for you to pick up.

Should we start requiring NHRA to fill out a W9 for us when we hand them our entry fee?

I was waiting on my round $ for the Indy LODRS continuation at Norwalk - checked with the D3 office who politely informed me that the Indy Track office needed my W-9. I went to the web and downloaded a W-9 - emailed it and received a quick response. The system works.
One more story - the track accountant at Joliet tracked me down last year to get me round $$ - in my opinion he went over the top to make sure the racer got paid. Without a W-9, it's almost impossible to get paid. I keep a pdf file of my W-9 handy now - as well as a paper copy with my Racing Info when I travel.
