All of us who come from the early years of drag racing know that Stahl headers were the ones you always wanted, whether you could afford them or not. Sure, you used Hookers, which weren't a bad header in their own right, but the absolute, no-questions-asked best header in the world was Stahl. To illustrate, those of you who know your Chevy history know that the headers that were shipped in the trunk of first-gen Z/28s that had been ordered with "factory" headers were Stahl. GM could have anybody's product and they went with the best. That is Jere's legacy. He was the best.

Wow.. Another legend...sure wish him peaceful days.
Think everyone has had a set of Stahl's...they just worked ! My dad (89) is in and out of hospice.! Now home for a while.. and it is tough caring for him. d |
