I would have no problems going to a 5 tenths pro start, and having thought about it some, I don't see the down side to Tru Start. I get to be on both sides, leaving first and last.
Look at who hates it, the higher class cars that like free rounds. I'm not sure it would change much anyway.

This is about the only rule that doesn't conform to the "First or Worst" scenario. Its beyond time to make the change. I am in favor.

It would be the "worst", right?

I've always favored the Pro tree, no matter the type of car I was driving.

Having lost a few rounds with the better red light, I'm all for it. I lost in the final round at the Vegas Bracket Nationals. Cost me a Grand! 😀

as bad as I've been redlighting, a 4 tenths tree would work for me

There is more than one timing system be used at race tracks across the country as far as I know. And it said that true start is patented to compulink. So any track running a different system will still be running off the current rules of first red light loses. Is this correct?
Also the second this does become the rule we will have the best package argument. I can already hear it. I had a .001 red light and ran dead on I should get the win because my opponent had a .333 light and was a second over his dial in. |
