Jack their are people out their running "BAD" combos.....as hard as it is for you to belive most people pick a car that they like, luv,or just already have instead of going out look for a "combo " car. (not I but) so their you have people with "combos" that have been beaten to death for years (example 67,68 camaro with 327/275) (just an example not picking on anyone) & now don't stand a chance running for class against these "combo" cars. Thing is even with valve job & 3 speed I don't think they can run with the FI cars or the mopars! (just a fact) Then again You were @ INDY /U.S. nationals so I think this might be a way to help make tec easier........?

Wow, throw in the much overlooked sentence out of the rulebook"Runners and combustion chamber must retain OEM appearance" and it looks to me like I'm allowed a set of any steel valve with any angle, any custom made seat at any angle (taper?), any bowl job that I can fit under the seat and any port work that I want as long as it appears to be stock. Why don't they just start pouring heads and be done with all of this crap!

Amen, Mr. Bill.

S/SS Combo, anyone?

Maybe they'll have the rules finagled out before I get my butt up to PA and get the head off the Turismo. Sorry, got caught up with doing some post-PRI 'emergency' stuff for some folks... how about just before or just after New Year's?

The way I read it, one of the stock valve seat angles must be retained, somewhere amongst the other angles.....

Upon further review from the replay booth,I'm not so sure that this means you can do anything you want.
