Oh No ! ! I hate hearing this. Don was one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He loved this sport but I think he loved being around the people in it more. What a great laugh and sense of humor. Glad I was considered a friend. God speed Don from a fellow Pontiac guy. Danny

Very sorry to hear this. Agreed with what many people have said. Don and my dad are hopefully enjoying a beer or cup of coffee and reminiscing on the good old days of S/SS racing. Prayers, thoughts and condolences to his friends and family. R.I.P. Don.

I agree, Ron. "Attitude". He could bust 'em with the best of them.
Don drove a Pepsi truck. He could make you feel 1/2" tall if you were drinking a Coke.

Really sad to hear. Don was a good guy, always a pleasure to hang out with. If I'm not mistaken he might have been to one to bestow the "Zippy" nickname on me during the period of time I drove one of Billy's cars. You will be missed Don.
