More random shots from today. We just had some heavy showers move through. Tomorrow there is a 50% chance of showers, but the rest of the week looks great. The only interesting thing besides many teams working on there cars, was most of the blower cars were sealed in tech today.
First two photos are Chris Holbrook's new 2016 Cobra Jet. |

Just came in from eating some good KY farm raised deer stew that Jimmy Hidalgo cooked! The meat was from our farm and the way Jimmy cooks it, you would think it was beef stew. Yum, yum!! Thanks, Jimmy, it sure was good!

After being at The U.S. Nationals at INDY from 1962 to 2004, it's hard not to be their.
But your pictures help, keep up the good work. |

About halfway through Q1 of Stock right now.
It's foggy and a bit humid but we got underway right on schedule at 8:30. For what it's worth the forecast is very encouraging for the rest of the week. Track appears to be solid at least from where I'm sitting. I haven't seen anyone blow the tires off at the hit, even the high horsepower FS cars It's been announced several times that there will be a make-up session later today for anyone who can't get to the lanes due to pit-area flooding. We got hit pretty hard yesterday with a couple of big thunderstorms. Early on, wheelstand of the race award goes to Austin Ford's FS/XX Cobra Jet. Way, way up but he managed to land it fairly gently. So far, Randy Eakins is early leader at 1.30 under but that won't last long. Gary Summers is not far behind in second. Last edited by Kevin McKenna; 08-31-2016 at 10:03 AM. |
