Tell us how you really feel. There ain't a single person here would dream of taking a non performing car to INDY. Pure embarrassment. It took me five years of working on my pile before I thought I could hold my head up at Indy. Not be embarrassed to spend all that money, make that long trip. At five years I thought I could. I think I finally ended up # 92. A lot of time and work and it paid off. This guy goes to Indy with a car that has NO chance of winning. What NHRA promo guy told this guy going to Indy "would be great!"

Really. Stopped hating. If you read his post. He said it's a dream and a privilege to be racing at Indy. And yes he knows he doesn't have Snowballs chance in hell to make the field. So get over yourself Bruce. Nhra should take a lesson from these guys they get attention unlike the Pros. Who are to corporate to pay attention to the fans. These guys are like the old funny car racers when I was a kid. They show up make some noise and get a pay check. Tee shirts pay the bills.

Good post Jim!
Feel same way. Love Big Chief passion.
He was there running what he had and gave his all.
Plus it was street legal!

As for me Started running Stock in 73 in a 1964 Impala SS 4sp with 250000 miles on it.
Got no closer that 3 tenths off the National Record but I ran with the big boys.
Kenny Koonce, Marianian Brothers, Gene Jordan, Tex Miller and others.
Managed 3 Ru and even won one. But learned a lot.

Big Chief will be back. Hopefully with a little more muscle.
I am rooting for the young buck!

Yes, Bruce..that's how we think , but you don't know how many Franklins changed hands in this whole deal.
Embarrassed? I doubt it.
