And more Stockers. I like Stockers.

Joe Mocci. This is a 350-2bbl combo. Greg Anderson runs one on D5 too.

Don Fezell. The first Stocker on the 8s.

D1 Stockers are clean, and lots with show car paint and body work that are FAST.

Like this one too

When I saw the name "Jordan" on this Camaro on Thursday, the name Frank Jordan from Gettysburg immediately popped into my mind. Frank was one of the better racers back in the 60s-70s Jr. Stocker days with a 57 Chevy - and into the days of the stock to SS transformation. I bought my first "race" Powerglide converter from Frank back in 1973. I asked the driver - who turned out to be Kevin Anderson (the first name on the door) if that was "Frank" Jordan - and it was. Frank and Kevin did lots of racing together starting in the late 60s. Frank built this Camaro stocker before he passed away and Kevin now runs the car with Larry "Bub" Miller behind the wheel.

Kevin Fogerty has owned his 65 Impala for 47 years. It started out as a 283/2 bbl/PG driver from Philly to Fort Bragg. When the 283 died he swapped in a 327 so his Mother could use the car while he was in the service. The car got turned into a race car in 1971 - first with a 283/220 and a 4 speed. I first met Kevin back in the early 70s - he was a regular at Maple Grove and always a contender to win Stock Eliminator there - as well as Cecil, Atco and on the D1 circuit. The car is a multi time national record holder. He now runs 327 PG combo that was .92 under at the Dutch.

Check out the first digit of the competition number on Thomas Sundstrum's 68 CJ Mustang. The number 8 means is for drivers outside North American - he's from Sweden. Thomas travels to the US about 4 times a year to hit races on the east coast like the Dutch. Thomas loves his Class Cars - he's the president of the Sweden's Stock/SS Association. Jim Morgan keeps the car up for Thomas.

That's Thomas on the far left. He had 3 of his Swedish colleagues with him - Ake Hedberg, Bjorn Boudesson and Stig Othosson - all class racers too.

The story is that a local Pro Mod racer bought this tractor with the National Event type counter-rotating tires to be sure the track had plenty of bite when he wanted to test.

It's not too often that the "Boss"Ken Miele gets his photo pasted here in Class Racer. I want to thank Ken and Jack for the privilege to contribute to a "Live" report on their turf.
