The narrow master cylinder weighs 6 lb. so the most you could save is 4 lb--if you can find an aluminum version of it (or are willing to use the aluminum/plastic type). The fatter master cylinder is available in aluminum from SS brakes, but it weighs about 4 lb and takes more fluid than the narrow style.

Use bolts just long enough, and if you are very industrious, I know of a 1970s racer who cut apart the front subframe, removed the overlap, and re-welded it together.

I've taken apart more than one old Stocker with all the non suspension bolts replaced with aluminum ones .
It's all the little 1,2,5 pound items that add up .
I ground 15 pounds off the back side of my AMX front bumper and mounts. mounted it with tubular bolts from the Sprint car guys up the road.

Racing seats can save quite a bit. Lithium battery will save at least 40 lbs on the nose of a stocker.
