I emailed Rollie Miller about the classes, I wanted to race my Drag Pak at the NMCA races. The factory supercar class won't work for an N/A car, no way to get to the minimum weight and we still couldn't run with a blown car. Too bad, I've run Doug's Cuda at their races and they have a great program, just not setup for NHRA class cars right now. It would be nice to have another venue to race at!

Looks like a bunch of class racers need to contact them before Nov 2 if we want any consideration as to rule changes for the 17 season...The way the rules stand right now real class cars just can't race in this venue...

I know that both the NMCA and NMRA are loaded up right now on classes, but the NMRA had a Stock/Super Stock combo race at the Maple Grove event this year.
I was hoping there would have been one at Bowling Green, but no luck. Maybe something like that might be an idea for the NMCA ?? As it stands right now, none of my Stockers are eligible for any class in the NMCA

It seems to me that NMCA I tried running stock and super stock several times in the past. Am I wrong? Maybe Doug Duell can answer that for us. it was the same story then, I believe. No Wally's, no cars

I looked into it a few years ago, but never wound up going to an event. The class has whats called a ".100 breakout"... As I gather, you run time trials, then you have no choice but to "dial" .1 quicker than your fastest time trial for the remainder of the event. Would not seem to be a problem to figure out exactly how to run the TT to have the dial be pretty close.. Anyone who knows better, please correct me if Im wrong, I dont contend to know for sure.... From what I've been told, the racers are treated like royalty at these races. Kp Last edited by Kevin Panzino; 10-14-2016 at 07:46 PM. |

Most racers add 100 lbs. during qualifying to slow their machine down .1 sec. Not a fan of the pro tree used in OC. It's basically a catch all class for those that do not fit any other classes ( other than brackets) ![]()

Most stock cars are old enough and fast enough to help put on a good show in NSS. I just can't understand why we cant play, at least we have mostly real parts.
