If it were my car that is what I would do. Big difference in drivetrain cost. I have a 67 RS that is an old Super Stock. It has been cut and updated. I would like to have it back to stock but I would have to do floors and quarters. I would much rather spend the money to run stock than Super Stock. My decision in the end is because the one wheel lip is cut off the original quarters and all the work done to it is done well

Engines cost less, slicks would be less. Not anything against any class. I build and race on a budget.

My car was done back when you had to retain factory rails, but it was done nice so the factory rails were removed and rewelded further inboard, so to run stock it would need rear floor pan, torque boxes, wheel houses, and factory wheel tubs and possibly quarters! In this picture it has 13x31s and there close front and rear in the wheel opening!

I ran MT ET Streets on a 68 I had. 13.5x 30 and they cleared the factory wheel openings. I used cheap quarters and replaced the opening leaving the factory factory quarters using only what I needed. They sell the trunk floor wth frame rails
