Your comment encouraged me to go see precisely what agitates Ebay to remove items, and you were correct: **** owned items like the one mentioned here are verboten. ****s have their own special list.

But, what is interesting is what is NOT on the forbidden list. It seems anything owned by the following folk are okay to list for sale:

Joseph Stalin
Vladimir Lenin
Pol Pot
Kim Il-sung
Abimael Guzman
Fidel Castro
Che Guevera
Mao Tse-tung
Nicolae Ceaușescu
Kim Jong-il

So, if you have an intake manifold, complete vehicle or article of clothing from any on this list, Ebay thinks that will be just fine.

In other words, communists, who murdered far more people than the ****s, get a pass. They always do.

.
I was working for a company that sold lots of stuff on ebay when the ban happened. In a nutshell, the german government (very very restrictive on any of that stuff) was going to block ebay completely in their country. I'm pretty sure there was a german ebay at the time which was pretty profitable for them.

While politics is always in the background, that was the immediate reason for the ban in the first place which was in the very early 2000s.
