In my opinion Modified Eliminator filled a need that Comp and Super Stock, as good as they are, do not satisfy.
While it could be easily recreated I can see how it would be a problem squeezing it in national events without reducing the already too low car counts in Stock and Super Stock. I guess it could actually hurt Comp to bring it back. Nothing is simple these days. I think the most fun I ever had early on in my hobby was helping a friend run a 66 Plymouth Belvedere Hemi in C/Gas running Hilborn fuel injection. I don't think Modified Eliminator, as it was then, could be revived today. I agree with Mike Edwards on that.
