I hope you're there and not waiting for All Access. Maybe audio but no All Access until Friday of every event. Work got in the way this week, no race for me!

Good morning all, and its a great morning. You could not ask for better weather. Temps are in the low 60's going up to around 70. No chance of rain, very light winds. It should make for some fast numbers today. I'm thinking that the mineshaft rule will be in effect today.

The weather numbers look like this at the moment.
Temp 64
Humid 62%
Bar 29.91
DA 1036ft
Wind light

Not many cars out, as we can not run our engines until ten. It will be a little hectic for the first few qualifying runs as its almost a round robin schedule. Class starts a little later and I hope to have some winners to post and more photos as I get more time.

be back later...

As a racer looking from the outside looking in, NHRA should have floating quotas, even if one catagory is full and another has 10 openings left, let people enter the full quota then. The more the merrier!

That wont happen. The way it was explained to me several years ago by Rich Schaffer Div 2 director is if the quota is not met. The next year the quota will be lowered to match the previous year participation. Hence the low quota numbers we have today. Its a shame to see our classes slowly being forced out of the program. Low purse, almost no contingency, Few national events with class are all reasons that the car counts have fallen off dramatically in the past 10 years or so.

Another thing. Class racing is healthy in Div 1. the stock field is all div 1 cars and only 4 SS cars form out if Div 1 are there this weekend. This makes it that much more difficult to get in with the low quotas

Things are moving fast, the track is in good for most, but some AA cars are having issues. The just called Super Stock back to the lanes Stock just finished their second run. I can't give any number because there is no time. I would think its a little quicker than Epping.

Here are a few shots, I have to get ready for class.
