Sorry folks, but if Indy was really Indy, there would be no AHFS, the field would consist of all class winners and the fastest others. The field would be like 96 cars which would cover all the classes and the other quick cars. Tear downs deemed by NHRA. Most of these cars have been through NHRA divisionals and opens. Caught cheating, banned for three years from competition and Indy. This is Indy, time for the bad boys, in all classes, not the fastest 128, that is so bogus. For you whiners that say well there is only one car in that class, well, build one for that class and quit your whining.

If you want to run, say, B/SA well, get ready Buster, there is a ton of people that want to run B/SA, fastest class winner gets in, period. Why not build a R-U/SA car that NHRA has factored so low that you will qualify easily in the top of the field. Still have to win class or be one of the fastest qualifiers.

This is Indy, go fast or go home, but it is a class race, let's not loose sight of that.

U/SA been there done that.

Let's not kid ourselves here.
For anyone who thinks they did this because a few guys with old cars asked for it,...it didn't happen.
A couple of concerned parties want to see FS run hard and fast .Therefore no AHFS for them.
The FS DNQ's then go into the real Stock Eliminator, after not having run under the same rules as everyone else.
Easiest fix? No AHFS for all.
Enjoy !

Tuki, thanks for the heads up! I will instal the rubber bumpers on the Cuda and move into the 20th century.

All class runs at Indy are interesting!

Nhra did this to protect the NEW FS. Cars
Let's be real these new car proved how fast they could in 2009
They went so fast they factored there way into SS real quick
Then went so fast they would all be comp cars.
Nhra mixed up some new kool aide for us to drink.
FS classes created to save all the bogus HP.
Every year more new cars appear. And more old cars GO HOME

How about if you run in the FS Shootout, and don't qualify, you go home!! Not to the top of the regular Stock field!!! That would make lots of people happy! Or if not go home, go to the bottom of the Stock field!!

Amen Mike Cotton, I agree with you 100 %. Last time I was there I couldn't run my car hard because of the 1 under rule. There aren't many running that combo and I controlled my own destiny getting HP. James I look at your car and see that your missing a good tenth. Let me take it for a few months along with your wallet and I will bring it back going a lot faster. LOL Barry

The Captain has spoken. That's probably a point no one wanted to hear.
