How much horse power can be made with a 459 intake? On a 327 stroker, possibly a 383. Acid ported and hand ported. What kind of power levels do the 327 300 make with a 459 and AFB in stocker form? Any if would be helpful. Thanks.

Obviously, im gonna build an engine for a Factory stock style class. Similar to the FAST series. Has to have factory carb and intake. But you can port heads, increase cubic inches, different cam ,etc. Just wondering what the limits of the 459 intake are?

Scott, Probably not hearing anything because nobody here has first hand knowledge .
There might be one or two 300 hp Stockers out there , but that doesn't help you much with a 383. All I know is it's worth a bunch over a real 283 intake. Does the carb have to be stone stock, or NHRA Stock?

Why not a 780 or 850 cfm Holley? Both are carbs listed for NHRA Stock engines.

It would be for a 1962 or 1963 327 300h.p. combo. Can't run a Holley. Has to be an AFB with the 459 intake.

Acid ported and hand ported in stock ????? Now who would incriminate themselves by admitting this?
