For those of you who follow the nostalgia themed racing the California Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield next week will convey special honors on my very good friend and sometimes mentor, Bob Lambeck.

An hour in his office reminiscing and hearing about his remarkable career over the last 60 years is much better than a day at Disneyland....but it can be almost as costly. Bob is, and has always been, a tremendous champion, and is never shy about giving credible advice to those who seek it. I am proud of our friendship and thank him sincerely for the support over the years.

If you ever get the chance to have dinner with Bob, DO IT! I have and I can tell you he is a wealth of information on drag racing besides being a good guy! Congrats Bob!!!
