Blackbird’s Florida adventure comes to an early end.
After loaning the dyno tested bullet that we intended for Gainesville to teammates down Bradenton last weekend, we discovered, having beaten the motor in the car for 20+ passes, we needed another. The crew at BES burned the midnight oil to ship us a ‘frankenstein’ motor but we had no time to do our normal dyno tests. With lots of help from the great people and equipment of DSR, we installed it before Q1. The Q1 8.09 @ 168.66 was a ‘break in’, soft hit pass (1.24 60’, just 1.4 mph off 7.99 run). Sadly, Frankenstein’s life was short as the hodge podge of parts didn’t like the Q2 tune up. The great news for the Mopar fans is that Leah should have a pretty fast ride Q3 and hopefully deep into the rounds through Sunday. Time will tell and either way it goes, it certainly won’t be from any lack of trying or from any nefarious activity. Should be an excellent Factory Stock Shootout with lots of strong players ! Any reports on the Johnson/Tueton FS car? One pic of it posted (in the lanes) but just one aborted run?

The quota for FS is 50. Are there that many FS cars in the country?
Top Fuel Harley (20) had more entries than Comp (16). Congrats to all Sunday sportsman competitors. Mike A114 |

Here are some more from Hard Core Thursday. I have a lot more, so hopefully Ken won't kick me off for taking up so much space. Couple of side by sides new school/old school.
