THIS IS an arrest warrant for Bill along with the complaint brought about by the States Attorney--- not to be treated lightly--I am not a lawyer but reading the statute depending on the value they place on the items involved AND if he is found guilty in a trial AND if it is his first conviction for this, the following penalty may be imposed-- its up to the Judge this is the MAXIMUM SENTENCE he can impose
VALUE OF ITEMS/PENALTY $5000-$24999---1-10 years in prison $1500-$4999--1-5 years in prison up to $1500-up to 12 months in prison However he might be able to just fine him or put him in jail, probation etc. its entirely up to the Judge and the prosecution maybe they will drop the case if he makes total restitution ---Just depends. if it is his third conviction for any of the previous it automatically moves from being a misdemeanor to being a Felony---- any way he is in serious trouble ---better hope he gets a sympathetic judge or" hasta la vista baby" |
