And if you do move the steering get ready to spend a little time on adjusting bump steer, with long and short tie-rods. Its never something for nothing.

Bump steer is always very time consuming, but on box relocation I have zero experience.

The box is a stupid amount of distance from the frame.? Even the steering shaft is angled toward the engine and the whole drivetrain is offset over an inch or more to the right. At least I got the spindle to stay zero thru the up and down travel. Bump steer next. Got a hot torch and BFH.

No matter what, once the first side is where you want it, you don't get to move the steering angle at all. And...that should be the position the steering is located as the car goes down the track. |
