I would replace the stock shaft with a .065"x .750" chromemoly shaft and replace the stock bearings in the tube with a nylon bushing.
By using the 3/4" shaft you can choose from dozens of quick release hubs.
Borgeson has couplers for just about any steering box or you could machine the trunion shaft to fit the 3/4" tube.
Thanks for your help. In researching everything was unclear. Places say they have a hub until you really get into it.
