Mccade and Carlton were lifelong friends starting at an early age. And partenered in racing Mcdade was from Hudson NC-- mcades family owned a Chrysler Plymouth dealership in Granite Falls NC

Last I knew, Anthony Rhodes owned it and it was driven by Stephen Yantus. We owned it for a short while in the early '80s. Mark Janaky has the history. Scott Hutton sold it to them. I think he bought it from a doctor in Tennessee who bought it from Steve Bagwell. He bought from Frank Barnett who we sold it to. This is all to the best of my recollection. Sorry if any errors.

I don't believe the car was at the Hemi Challenge this year, unless it has been sold and refinished.

The Barracuda mentioned that Anthony Rhodes owns and Stephen Yantus drives was at the US Nationals. They brought two cars. They had purchased the Kandy Kuda from Bucky Hess in October 2017 and were racing it in the Dodge Hemi Challenge.
That black/turquois/white Barracuda was in the upper level of their tall trailer on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday it was out in the sunshine for all to see. White shoe polish on the windshield indicated that the car was available for sale. |
